A brief biography ...
Rodrigo Andres Hernandez “Roro” opened his restaurant, Macabeo Grill in Miami, Florida 2010. After receiving various awards from working in the corporate world for a number of years, he discovered that he could challenge and ultimately fulfill his dream. By putting his trust in a Force higher than himself and talent in a way that would bring joy to others by giving his own taste and home welcoming atmosphere, he left the corporate world and landed in the his own kitchen.
It was like coming home. The kitchen was where he grew up. It is a family oriented home style and gourmet cooking where intuition first played with creating the foods of his native Chilean cooking and later in his restaurant kitchen where the inspired recipes of his imagination, both culinary Italian and Cuban style cooking otherwise, found a receptive outlet. His restaurant, Macabeo Grill, in Miami, Fl, quickly became a local favorite, by giving everyone a little piece of different and various styles of cooking, where everyone can have choose from
In addition to the delights of the palette he offered every day to the appreciative and expanding clientele of his restaurant, he insisted on feeding them and giving them a great and relaxing atmosphere filled with stories, humor and music.
. More than a chef, Rodrigo Andres Hernandez “Roro” his passion for nourishment in its broadest sense---serving up recipes that delight our senses, ideas that inspire our imagination and insights that comfort our spirit, all while dining on multi-course meals.
His desire to continue in the months and years ahead as Chef Roro puts the energy that he once devoted to great restaurant such as Carpaccio’s, Post, Mezzanottes in Miami,and many others where he grew and received great knowledge His love for culinary arts after 18 years he wants to give a bit of his own taste for many to enjoy.
